Meet Our Board of Education
The Olathe Public Schools are served by seven board members representing area positions in three districts plus one at-large position. (view district map, adopted in October 2008, in PDF format) The president for 2012-13 is Amy Martin; vice president is Debora Daniels.

Rita Ashley13235 Kimberly Circle, Olathe, KS 66061 Rita Ashley has resided in the Olathe School District since 1994. She has been a commercial banker in the Johnson County market over 25 years. Rita has volunteered with several area nonprofits and currently serves on the Olathe Economic Development Council. She has two sons, both of whom graduated from Olathe North High School. |

Debora Daniels, Ph.D., vice president for 2012-1315808 W. 147th Street, Olathe, KS 66062 Debby Daniels has been a resident of Olathe since 1986. She is a clinical associate professor in the Hearing and Speech Department at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is actively involved in several professional organizations. She and her husband, Carl, have three sons who are graduates of the Olathe Public Schools. |

LeEtta Felter14220 S. Copper Creek Drive, Olathe, KS 66062 LeEtta Felter has lived in Olathe for 14 years. LeEtta and husband, Jib, own truck and equipment dealerships in several states, headquartered right here in Olathe, Kan. The Felter family is very involved in the community. Their three children attend Olathe schools. |

Amy Martin, president for 2012-1312455 Rosehill, Overland Park, KS 66213 Amy Martin and husband, Derek, have been residents of the Olathe School District since 1993. Two of their daughters graduated from Olathe schools, and the other one attends Olathe schools. She owns and operates Amy Martin Photography, a portrait studio specializing in contemporary portraits of children and families. She is involved in many local organizations. |

Harlan Parker14725 Village Drive, Olathe, KS 66062 Harlan Parker and his wife, Vickie, have been active citizens in the Olathe community since 1979. Their son attended and graduated from Olathe public schools. Together they have built a successful insurance and financial services agency, and are involved in many community activities. |

Stevenson, Olathe, KS 66061 Mike Poland is employed by Reintjes & Hiter, a manufacturer's representative business, specializing in products for commercial heating and air conditioning systems, and is active in many community activities. He and his wife, Joyce, have been life-long residents of Olathe since 1950. Their four sons are graduates of Olathe North High School. |

Rick Schier12459 Rosehill, Overland Park, KS 66213 Rick Schier has been a resident of Johnson County for 18 years and has lived in the Olathe School District for 14 years. Rick and wife, Tina, have a daughter who graduated from Olathe East High School, and a daughter and son who currently attend Olathe schools. Rick is senior vice-president at CommunityAmerica Credit Union. |
- District 1 is all of the area south of 143rd Street, also including the area between Ridgeview and Pflumm roads north to 135th Street, and also including the area between Cedar Niles Road and Montclaire Drive north to Santa Fe (135th) Street, and excluding an area bordered by Montclaire Drive on the east, Chambery Drive on the west, Cedar Street on the south and Santa Fe Street on the north.
- District 2 is the area east of Ridgeview Road and north of 135th (Santa Fe) Street, also including the area east of Pflumm Road and south of 135th Street.
- District 3 is all of the area west of Ridgeview Road and north of Santa Fe (135th) Street, and also including the area between Ridgeview and Montclaire Drive south of 143rd Street, and also including an area bordered by Montclaire Drive on the east, Chambery Drive on the west, Cedar Street on the south, and Santa Fe Street on the north.
